I’m currently trying to be a morning workout person [key word trying] and I feel more motivated when I’m wearing something cute. A matching sports bra and leggings in a cute pop of color always seem to give me that boost of confidence to make it through the last 10 mins on the elliptical or get through the last set of burpees!
Whether I’m meeting up with friends for brunch or going on a date with the hubs, showing off a little sliver of skin makes me a little edgy and super sexy. American Eagle has some cuuuuuuuute matching crop top and bottoms sets that I never knew I would like, nay LOVE, until I got one. I never leave the house without my denim jacket, and it’s an easy throw on accessory. The other thing that I love about a matching set like this is that you can dress it up with strappy, sandal block heels, or keep it comfy and casual with bright sneakers.
Now we can’t talk about matching sets without talking about the quintessential summer matching set - THE BIKINI! A year ago, you wouldn’t have been able to pay me a million bucks to wear a bikini but I’ve discovered that the high waisted bikini is where it’s at. I’ve been loving the designs and cuts from Target, American Eagle and Cupshe. And the fact that I can eat a super stuffed Qdoba burrito, and still feel like summer beach babe, says something about this super flattering cut.
Last but not least - and the most important matching set in my opinion are pajamas. Yup, you read that right. Now listen - I know you probably love going to bed in an oversized intramural sports t-shirt from college, but hear me out. Fashion doesn’t have to stop when you go to bed! A matching pajama set (bonus points if it comes with a matching robe) is so dope! When I’m winding down for the evening, doing my nighttime routine, the matching patterns and the soft fabric, not only make me feel like I’m ready for a good night’s rest, but it also makes me feel adult-ish. And after a long day, sometimes that’s all it takes to feel like you’re winning.
