Body Art Ball is an early era themed event, costumes and music will reflect that. Artists are free to paint anything they would like. All artists and performers will be required to sign a contract and photo release stating their commitment to participating in the event.
Only circus and performing artists will be performing in the show. Living Statues will be greeters for the event so if you are not a performer please indicate that you are interested in modeling. Only one performer per artist will be permitted. Performers will receive one complimentary ticket to invite someone to the show and one complimentary ticket for them to attend the LAA Flouro Body Paint Show on October 2, 2014. See www.livingartamerica.com for more about that event.
Performers will also receive professional photo images of themselves performing fully body painted.
All performers will be painted wearing pasties (for women) and a g-string and/or waist belt. Prosthetic pasties and g-strings will be provided. If you have latex allergies, please let us know so that we can accommodate you in another way.
A 2-3 minute performance segment, will be held by each performer. Performers may choose their own music for choreography. Musical selections must stay in the early era theme, anything before the year 1940. Musical selections will be due by September 19th, 2014.
Costume headdresses for use in the show will be designed by the show costume artist, according to your type of performance. Due to ethical concerns, only cruelty-free feathers or animal parts will be used in all costuming.
We want you to know that we truly appreciate your interest in participating and your dedication to bringing great art to the Body Art Ball. For this event, all artists and performers are participating on a voluntary basis. Please understand that we do not have a budget to pay all talent out of pocket (40+ Body Artists and Performers).
We do have a sponsor proposal plan in place that will allow businesses to sponsor an artist or performer directly, ensuring pay, as long as artists are willing to do the footwork. While some of you are clearly just excited to be a part of the Flesh Art Show regardless, we wanted to do what we can to help get you paid. Please understand that we are working very hard to make this event a success and to get you all excellent exposure. If you have any further questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
